Filming Frozen: Creating Warmth in a Medieval Castle
When we set out to create a new music video for Frozen the Musical, we knew the location had to be special. The story of Frozen isn’t just about ice and magic—it’s about the unbreakable bond between two sisters. For this particular song, performed by Anna, we wanted to capture her essence: warmth, love, and connection.
While scouting locations, we had a vision of a place that would enhance this theme—a setting that felt timeless, intimate, and rich in history. That’s when we reached out to a friend who happens to own a medieval tower dating back to 1612. He generously allowed us to transform the loft into our film set, complete with a fireplace and candlelight, creating an atmosphere that perfectly aligned with Anna’s character.
Anna represents warmth, resilience, and the power of human connection, and this historic loft provided the ideal backdrop to reinforce these emotions. The flickering candlelight, the aged wooden beams, and the cozy fire brought a tangible sense of warmth, highlighting the heart of her journey in the story.
